Investigation of Occupational Accidents Occurred in Ports By Using Fuzzy DEMATEL and Fuzzy TOPSIS Methods

In this study causes of occupational accidents occurred in ports, and measures to be taken were discussed in order to reduce or prevent such accidents. In this study, factors have been identified that lead to occupational accidents occurred in ports and have tried to present the alternative solutions can be applied on this issue. Severity of the reasons that led to the accident and relationships with each other identified by using fuzzy DEMATEL (The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory), also to be able to sort through the alternative solutions were made with a model using the fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method approach. According to the results of the study, some of the most important factors causing accidents in ports, has been determined as; "Accidents due to human error," "accidents due to administrative reasons", "accident due to insufficient equipment and improper use of equipment" and "accident depending on working environment and conditions" respectively. Some of the most important alternatives that can bring a solution to this problem have been identified as; "employ permanent staff with adequate training and experience," "making adjustment in working conditions, hours of work and number of employees" and "importance should be given specialization in port".

Bulanýk DEMATEL ve Bulanýk TOPSIS Yöntemleri Kullanýlarak Limanlarda Yaþanan Ýþ Kazalarýnýn Ýncelenmesi

Bu çalýþma ile limanlarda meydana gelen iþ kazalarýnýn nedenleri ve bu kazalarýn önlenebilmesi / azaltýlabilmesi için yapýlmasý gerekenler ele alýnmýþtýr. Çalýþmada limanlarda yaþanan iþ kazalarýna neden olan etkenler tespit edilmiþ ve bu soruna iliþkin uygulanabilir, alternatif çözüm önerileri sunulmaya çalýþýlmýþtýr. Kazaya sebep olan nedenlerin birbirleri ile olan iliþkileri, önem dereceleri bulanýk DEMATEL (The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) ve alternatif çözüm önerileri arasýnda sýralama yapabilmek için de bulanýk TOPSIS (Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution) yönteminin ele alýndýðý bir model yaklaþýmý kullanýlmýþtýr. Çalýþmanýn sonuçlarýna göre limanlarda yaþanan kazalara neden olan en önemli faktörlerden bazýlarý sýrasýyla; “insan hatasýna baðlý kazalar”, “yönetimsel sebeplere baðlý kazalar”, “uygunsuz ve yetersiz ekipman kullanýmýna baðlý kazalar” ve “çalýþma ortamý ve þartlarýna baðlý kazalar” olarak tespit edilmiþtir. Bu soruna çözüm getirebilecek en önemli alternatiflerden bazýlarý ise; “yeterli eðitim ve tecrübeye sahip daimi kadrolu personel çalýþtýrýlmasý”, “çalýþma koþullarý, saatleri ve personel sayýlarýnda düzenlemelerin yapýlmasý” ve “limanlarda ihtisaslaþmaya gidilmesi” olarak tespit edilmiþtir.
